Hey—we know you want to work with little humans.
We’ve got you. It’s exactly why we’ve created this workshop.
Big Care for Little Humans is the warm, practical introduction to pediatric care that many of us wish we had received in school. We’re opening up the wellbe playbook and sharing the foundational knowledge, hands-on skills and real-world lessons we’ve gathered through years of caring for babies, children and families.
Led by Dr. Aliya Visram—a chiropractor with nearly 20 years of pediatric experience and co-founder of wellbe—this workshop goes beyond the textbook. Dr Aliya will share real cases, practical demonstrations and the clinical pearls that took years of experience to learn. Plus, she’s the mentor we wish we all had!
Together, we’ll explore:
• Key motor, sensory and cognitive milestones
• How to observe, assess and engage babies and young children
• Common concerns such as feeding challenges, gas, reflux, torticollis and plagiocephaly
• Pediatric-specific assessment and age-appropriate care considerations
• Gentle, hands-on techniques and practical applications
• How to recognize when a child may need additional assessment or support
• How to communicate with caregivers, build trust and help families feel at ease
• The little things that create a positive experience for children and their grown-ups
Expect real-life cases, guided demonstrations, opportunities to practise, open conversation and plenty of time to ask questions. No dense theory and no expectation that you should already know what you’re doing—just useful information, honest mentorship and skills you can begin applying within your own role and scope.
To make space for meaningful conversation, hands-on practice and individual questions, registration is intentionally capped at just 20 participants.
Who is it for?
This workshop is open to chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, naturopathic doctors, nurses, allied health practitioners, early childhood educators, yoga and movement professionals, students, new graduates—and anyone curious about supporting little humans and their families.
Whether you’re exploring pediatric work for the first time or looking to strengthen your foundation, come learn with us!
