Exploring spaciousness and fluidity through the pelvis. An opportunity for more time, space, and movement for yourself.
Across four 30minute sessions, we’ll explore the pelvis as a place of movement, space, and connection – and notice what becomes possible when we let go of some of what we’ve been holding.
The pelvis is one of the largest structures in the body and sits at a major intersection between the upper and lower body. Creating more space and fluidity there can open possibilities for movement and sensation throughout the rest of the body.
Just like when you’re moving out of an apartment and suddenly notice how much stuff you’ve carried with you, the space in our body can become cluttered without us even noticing.
Even after years as a professional dancer and countless exercises focused on pelvic stability, I had never thought much about cultivating a fluid pelvis. It wasn’t something I particularly knew to wish for. And this is something I discovered for myself through practicing the Ilan Lev Method.
Exploring this quality of movement opened my eyes to how much more ease and space could become available throughout my body — bringing clearer sensations to my legs, spine, jaw, and beyond, and creating a smoother dialogue between different parts of the body.
So rather than trying to achieve a particular movement or outcome, this series is an invitation to get curious; to meet clarity not by adding more, but by letting go.
